This Jellyfish has a translucent dome that is white, pink, or pale blue, with short tentacles around the edge. Four circle-shaped reproductive organs are visible inside the dome.
The Moon Jelly is commonly found in open water, drifting with the current, looking like little floating moons. It often appears in large groups near the surface and comes closer to shore around dusk, especially when the water is calm and tides are low. It has a mild to moderate sting.
