This Coral grows into lumpy hills or thin, flat plates with uneven edges. Its color is usually mustard yellow or beige. The surface is covered with tiny, tightly packed pores that give it a porous look.
Mustard Hill Coral is one of the most common corals, and its polyps are often extended during the day. It is more resistant to stress than many other coral species and often survives bleaching events. However, it is not immune and can still bleach if water temperatures remain too high for too long.
