These Gorgonians are tall, soft corals with branches that look like feathers. They are usually purple or violet, but can sometimes be yellow. Their surface feels slimy because they produce mucus, and many tiny side branches give them a fuzzy look.
Sea Plumes belong to the genus Antillogorgia and include several different species. They grow on sandy or rocky areas and sway with ocean currents, which may help them catch tiny food particles from the water.
