Symmetrical Brain Coral grows in rounded plates or dome-shaped colonies. The surface shows long winding valleys that often link together and become straighter near the outer edge. The ridges are smoothly curved and usually do not have a groove across the top. Colors range from green to brown, yellow-brown or bluish gray and the valleys are often lighter or show a different shade.
This Coral can live in many areas and is most often seen at moderate depths. It stays fixed in one place and grows slowly over time.
