Candy Basslet

The Candy Basslet has strong horizontal stripes in pale brown, yellow-brown, or orange mixed with red to dark red. Some stripes may appear lavender, purple, or blue. A dark eye-like spot marks the rear part of its dorsal fin. Its two dark spots on the upper and lower parts of the tail remain separate.

The Candy Basslet lives around coral and rubble slopes, usually staying inside crevices. It is shy and often retreats deeper into its hiding place before returning later.
