The Frosty Noumeaella has a slim body that narrows into a long pointed tail. Its base color ranges from clear gray to pale yellow-brown, with a network of white or silver-white lines. Long thin body extensions are usually curled and arranged in six groups on each side. Small orange-brown or black spots may be present. The two head feelers are long, with a smoother front and a bumpy rear, and the eyes are black.
The Frosty Noumeaella lives in shallow areas with plenty of algae and hydroids. It feeds on hydroids and may be found on algae or attached Sargassum. It stores stinging cells from its food and uses them for protection.
