The Hamner's Tritonia has a small, smooth, pale brown body with thin white stripes. It has long tentacles on its head and oral veil, and tufts of short cerata are spaced along its sides.
The Hamner's Tritonia is usually found on Gorgonian Sea Fans, such as the Common Sea Fan, where it blends in well. It moves slowly as it feeds on these sea fans and is known to store chemicals from its prey in its own tissues, which helps it avoid being eaten by predators.
