The Antilles Brittle Star has a rounded, disc-like central body that is light tan to purplish, sometimes with reddish-brown or yellow markings. Its long arms are banded with different shades of brown, reddish-brown, or purple and have small spines along the edges. The colors and markings can vary significantly from one individual to another.
This Brittle Star hides among rocks and coral during the day and can be seen feeding during coral spawning events. It stays well hidden in rubble or crevices and is rarely seen in the open.
