This Tunicate has a transparent, jelly-like body that resembles small, cylindrical tubes. It is often seen drifting in chains, with red markings along its surface.
Planktonic Tunicates are found in open water, swimming by pumping water through their bodies. They often form long, drifting chains and are easily mistaken for Jellyfish.
