This Octopus has very thin, long arms. Its body is usually gray or white, with brown spots on its arms. Juveniles are translucent, with reddish spots on their arms.
The Atlantic Longarm Octopus can be found in sandy areas and can look like a Flounder as it swims across the seafloor.
