The Redcollar Tube Worm forms tight groups. Its soft, feathery red crown extends from a long, hard white tube. Just below its tube opening is a bright red ring that clearly stands out.
This Tube Worm lives attached to sand and loose rubble. It stays inside its tube and extends its crown to feed. When disturbed, it quickly pulls back into its tube for safety.
