The Banded Box Jelly has a clear, stretched rectangular bell with small stinging-cell bumps. One tentacle grows from each of its four corners, and its tentacles have reddish-brown and white bands.

The Banded Box Jelly swims horizontally, and its tentacles can pull in while swimming. Its sting can be severe and dangerous.

For a sting, leave the water, remove any tentacles with tweezers, and apply "Sting No More" or heat for at least 20 minutes. Seek medical help if pain is severe or breathing becomes difficult.
