This Clingfish has a bright red-orange head and body, transitioning to a translucent rear with vertical dark bars. Its skin has small blue spots, and its sucking disc includes patches of flattened papillae. These are small, fleshy bumps that help it attach firmly to surfaces.
The Papillate Clingfish is often found in shallow waters between the blades of Fire Coral.
