The Rough Rubble Crab has a rough-looking shell with a narrow V-shaped notch at the front edge of the carapace. The walking legs have white bands, and the front claw arms have noticeable raised ridges.
This small crab lives among loose coral pieces and rubble, where it blends well with the surrounding bottom. It usually stays hidden in small spaces between rocks and broken coral.
