This Moray has a brown body with pale white blotches, which can be bold or faint, giving it a marbled appearance. Numerous pale spots are visible on the head and lower jaw.
The Marbled Moray lives among coral and rocks. During the day, it hides in crevices, often with only its head visible. It usually allows divers to approach slowly.
