This small Eel has dark stripes, a tall dorsal fin that starts at the head and runs along its back, and tube-shaped nostrils.
The Stripe Eel hides in sandy areas and grassy bottoms, often in clear areas, leaving only its head visible. It sometimes moves beneath the sand and emerges elsewhere.
