This Goby has a greenish-gray body with up to 26 thin, pale green bands. Its head is white, with two red stripes that extend from the snout, pass through the eyes, and continue toward the fins above.
The Greenbanded Goby lives in shallow waters, often hiding under Sea Urchins. It is shy and retreats under the spines of a Sea Urchin when approached by divers.
