This small Goby has a bluish-black body with 9 thin, bright blue lines wrapping around it. Its head ranges in color from pale orange to dark brown.
The Nineline Goby lives in shallow waters, often hiding under Sea Urchins. It is shy and retreats under the spines of a Sea Urchin when approached by divers.
