This Goby has two reddish square blocks edged in black behind its pectoral fin and below the midline of its body. Red and white dashes, separated by black, run along its sides. The head is marked with red spots, and the rear part of the body is translucent, sometimes showing faint orange bars.
The Orangesided Goby was once occasionally seen, but it now appears to have disappeared from the Bonaire Reef.
