This Razorfish has a pale greenish pearly body, and its sloped head has alternating vertical lines of light blue and light yellow-orange. It has small eyes positioned high up on its head.
The Pearly Razorfish is often seen hovering over sandy areas near rocks and rubble. When disturbed, it quickly dives into the sand but may reemerge after a short time.
