This Worm has two spiral crowns made of feather-like bristles that can be white or bright shades of purple, yellow, or orange. A double-horned lid sits between these crowns, and a hard, chalky tube fastens it to coral.
The Christmas Tree Worm is often found on hard corals and retracts its crowns quickly when disturbed.
